I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, because the way people describe tantra varies so wildly. Some say it changes their whole emotional landscape, others insist the physical benefits are what stay with you the most. For anyone who has actually tried it more than once — do the long-term effects feel more like a shift in your emotional patterns, or is it more about the physical relaxation and body awareness building up over time? I’m trying to understand what’s realistic.

From my own experience, the emotional side definitely took the lead, although the physical benefits were the first thing I noticed. After a couple of sessions, something like a slow internal “unclenching” happened — I suddenly realized how much tension I’d been carrying for years without even seeing it. The physical relief was great, but what stayed longer was the sense of clarity and groundedness afterward. I tried sessions with a practitioner I found through Gay massage London, and what surprised me most was how deeply the emotional release can sneak up on you. It’s not dramatic or theatrical; it’s more like your nervous system recalibrates itself little by little.
For example, I stopped reacting so sharply in stressful situations, almost as if someone lowered the volume on my automatic responses. Of course, the physical effects matter too — breathwork, touch, slow pacing — but for me they were more like the “door” to the deeper stuff rather than the main result. If you go in with some patience, it tends to stack, and the emotional shifts become much more noticeable over time.

Interesting to read both of your thoughts. I’m somewhere in the middle — I wouldn’t separate physical and emotional too sharply, because one seems to influence the other anyway. After a few sessions, the physical softness made it easier to reflect on things I usually avoid, so it kind of overlapped. Curious to see how others describe it too, since everyone’s baseline is different.
