I’ve been feeling the fatigue of big social platforms lately—the endless scrolling, the performative posts, the same people you already know. Recently, I stumbled onto a much simpler site where the only status that matters is who’s actively online right now. It’s just a straightforward, global list of random people currently on the site. No feeds, no likes, no follower counts. You click a name, you get a one-on-one chat window. It’s led to some surprisingly real, spontaneous conversations with people I’d never have crossed paths with otherwise.
Has anyone else tried platforms like this? I found it oddly refreshing to cut through all the noise and just… talk to a stranger. Curious if others have had similar experiences with stripped-down, chat-focused sites.
